June 2026…Vidnyanvahini Vidyarthi Shibir (Student Camp), Pune
Vidnyanvahini organises a Vidyarthi Shibir (Student Camp) every year in Pune during the third week of June for Std. 10 rural students accompanied by their teachers. The objective is to broaden students’ horizons through exposure to diverse subjects, experiences, and interactions with experts.The four-day residential camp was held from 17th to 20th June 2026, with participation from students of six rural schools and their teachers. The lodging and boarding arrangements were made at Vidyarthi Sahayak Samiti’s Lapatrai Hostel, Pune.
The camp began with a play ‘जिर्णोद्धार’ presented by Natya Sanskar Sanstha, Pune.Students visited the Air Force Station and witnessed Sukhoi aircraft take-offs and landings from close proximity. They also experienced travelling by Pune Metro, including ticketing and changing lines.A visit to CWPRS gave students exposure to research activities related to water resources, river engineering, power generation, and coastal engineering.The camp concluded with a visit to the Planetarium at Abhinav English Medium Primary School, where students enjoyed an engaging astronomy experience.
